Liberating Meditation

    1. Find yourself a space you feel relaxed in, and apply your favourite GAIA body lotion or oil, with a soothing massage into your skin.
    2. Ensure you are in a comfortable position with your back supported.
    3. Take a deep breath in and out to centre your mind. Start to take notice of your breath, breathing in and out.
    4. Continue your calm deep breathing, your body is calm, safe, and relaxed.
    5. Allow your mind to relax and drift out your space.
    6. Visualize yourself sat comfortably on a soft blanket on a riverbank, you are beside a beautiful stream, you feel peaceful.
    7. Watching the water flow by and out of sight, it relaxes you and you .
    8. Notice the water is similar to the thoughts in your mind and you are a separate from your thoughts just as you are separate to the stream.
    9. The stream flows by just like the thoughts some positive, some negative, some necessary some unnecessary.
    10. You relax and just watch them float but like the water, letting go of negative unnecessary thoughts and allowing them to flow away.
    11. You are in control of what you allow yourself to attach to, choosing to focus on the positive.
    12. You feel deeply relaxed and calm, filling your mind with positive thoughts.
    13. Allowing the negative thoughts to flow down the stream and out of sight, you notice the change in your thoughts and the change in the stream becoming clearer and less polluted.
    14. You feel calm and relaxed, knowing you are in control of your mind, your thoughts and what you choose to focus on.
    15. Taking a few more deep breaths in and out, concentrating on what you what to achieve with your day, set your goals.
    16. When you are ready slowly open your eyes and gently stand.
